Formed just over a year ago, The Electric Blankets have quickly gained admiration among live-music fans in Tucson since their debut performance in July of 2010. They take a simplistic approach to songwriting to craft a brand of garage-rock/pop evocative of sounds ranging from past to present: The Animals and The Kinks, to Grizzly Bear, Smith Westerns, or The Black Lips. Rounded off with a healthy 'desert' influence, their music has a truly fun and unique inclination.
