MyStudio.net Go To The Grammys Contest

Interested in going to the 51st Annual Grammy Awards?

MyStudio.net has two tickets to give away, along with airfare, hotel accomodations, and transportation. All you have to do is get your butt on down to Scottsdale Fashion Square in Scottsdale and make a music video. The contest runs through Saturday January 31st, and you have until midnight to submit your video on their site.

Sounds easy enough... and fun? Here's the details I received from Studio One Media:

We have a terrific contest going on for musicians of all ages and all genres. They can play an instrument, sing, or both. It is open to individuals and small groups. For minors, we do have a parental consent form on MyStudio.net's contest page that they can download.

To enter, musicians need to record at least one video in MyStudio, which is at Scottsdale Fashion Square in Scottsdale. It is on the ground floor, in the Palm Court. That's on the other side of the Concierge Desk from the food court, or east of the food court.

It costs $20 for each video, and that video is the musician's own to keep and do with what they want. It will be great to have for demos and their MySpace pages. They most likely won't find quality this good anywhere without renting a professional studio.

Before recording the video, the artist gets a card to swipe at the studio itself to initiate the session. There is a privacy code on the card they will need in order to view their video, make it public on MyStudio.net, and submit it to the contest. They don't need to upload it or convert the file or anything like that, the video is automatically uploaded to MyStudio.net and kept private until and unless the user makes it public using the privacy code on the card they get at the studio.

We recommend musicians plan their sessions on our website at MyStudio.net. They just click on "Create a Session" at the top in white letters. It takes them through the steps like entering any text they want in the video and choosing a background. They don't have to start the session online, but those who do will have more digital backgrounds to choose from. They can also look at the videos they're competing against at MyStudio.net.

They must record their video and submit it to the contest by Saturday night. On Sunday, MyStudio will choose 10 finalists, and MyStudio members will vote on MyStudio.net to choose the winner. It's free to become a member, you just need to go to MyStudio.net and create a profile. It's fast and easy, you don't have to upload a picture if you don't have one handy, and you don't have to fill in all the fields if you don't want to. You can keep your profile private, too.

It's really a great opportunity. The prize is a trip to the GRAMMYs on February 8 in L.A. This includes airfare to L.A., one night accommodation in a luxury hotel, and transportation in L.A. And of course two tickets to the awards ceremony.

The contest closes at midnight on Saturday and judging by MyStudio begins to determine 10 finalists. On Monday, February 2 at 12:01 online voting begins and goes for 24 hours until midnight. The winner will be announced on Tuesday, February 3.

AZoverload's beloved, Derrick is planning to make his video on Saturday. When are you making yours?
